The power of medicine from Radish is good for bones and joints

In addition, white radish is also famous for its effect of dissolving bruises on the skin and helping to reduce swelling and pain (when sprained, bruised, etc.). At the same time, radish also has a series of other good uses for bones and joints below:

- White radish disperses blood stasis, reduces inflammation

In traditional medicine, white radish is known for its outstanding effects of anti-inflammation, dissolving accumulation, dissolving blood stasis and dispelling wind.

Therefore, when the weather changes, bones and joints become painful, limbs are tired or there are bruises on the skin... people often use white radish to improve.

However, according to my father's experience, each skin type will need a separate time to apply the bandage (because fresh white radish is both spicy and pungent, applying it will feel a bit hot).

- Medicine from radish helps reduce bone and joint pain

First, take a white radish about 250g, wash it and peel it so that the skin touches the flesh (about 2mm thick). Then, crush the radish peel and apply it to the painful area.

For normal skin: after applying the crushed white radish peel, take a thin cloth and wrap it, wait 45 minutes, then remove it and wash the skin with warm water.

For thin, sensitive skin: if you have thin, sensitive skin, you should only apply the bandage for 7-10 minutes (or when it feels a little hot and sore, remove it and wash your skin with warm water). After a while, when your skin has recovered, take the medicine from earlier and put it in a cloth, apply it for another 30 minutes (or when it feels hot, remove it and wash your skin with warm water).

With this medicine, you should do it twice a day, early in the morning and at night (before going to bed). However, to be effective, you need to be persistent for a certain period of time (about 1 week, my friend).

Note: Only apply on bruised, swollen, painful, aching skin (do not apply on scratched, itchy or open wound skin... because if applied, the skin will be hot and uncomfortable, causing more damage).

- Dishes made from white radish are good for bones.

In addition to topical use, white radish is also used as a dish to support bones and joints.

According to the work Dictionary of Vietnamese Medicinal Plants by researcher Vo Van Chi, white radish is known as a food that prevents rickets and scurvy. Therefore, people who often suffer from bone and joint pain, are or are at risk of osteoporosis, rickets, bone damage... should add this root to their meals for support (eat a few days a week, 100g a day and process it into soups, braised dishes, stews... depending on preference).

In terms of nutrition, white radish also contains a lot of calcium (100g of fresh radish contains up to 40mg of calcium) and minerals necessary for bones such as Phosphorus, Magnesium...
